As we approach (yay!)the finalization date for PB, I've been thinking alot about what joy adoption has brought to me- personally. I feel so lucky to be the mother of our children. It is difficult for me to express this to the well-meaning folks who continue to let us know what a great thing they think we are doing. It makes me kind of mad. I hope no one ever says that where ANY of my children can hear it. Who wouldn't want to parent these kids? Just look at them! Today I stumbled upon a well written blog post here that pretty much sums it up and also addresses another adoption myth that I don't write or talk about with much coherence- the idea that children who were adopted are "damaged" by it.
